July 25, 2004 -- For the second year in a row, Ottawa-based InterACTIVE Nutrition International Inc.®, a leader in sports nutrition supplements, is proud to have been a part of the 5th Annual RBC Charity Golf Classic held May 25 on behalf of Roger's House. InterACTIVE Nutrition donated SoyOne™ protein bars to all participants of the Golf Classic.
This year's Charity Golf Classic, held at the picturesque Club de golf Outaouais in Rockland, Ontario, raised over $30,000 for soon-to-be-opened Roger's House, located adjacent to the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario. Administered by CHEO's experienced and expert staff, Roger's House will promote the celebration of life and pediatric palliative care including respite care for children, youth, and families, all anchored in an innovative, family-centred and holistic environment.
This year's successful event was hosted by well-known and ever-cordial Canadian TV celebrity, songster, and storyteller, Wayne Rostad -- best known for hosting the award-winning show, On the Road Again.
The RBC Golf Classics have raised $133,000 over the past five years for various Ottawa-based charities, including The School Breakfast Program, The Snowsuit Fund, Candlelighters, and The Shepherds of Good Hope.
