The Canadian Cancer Society is holding its 8th annual "Relay for Life" on June 9th & 10th, 2006 at the Nepean Sportsplex. This is a 12 hour overnight relay that celebrates cancer survivors and pays tribute to the lives of loved ones who lost the battle. It's a night of fun, friendship and fundraising to beat cancer.
InterACTIVE Nutrition International Inc., for the third year in a row is donating protein bars to help the participants make it through the night. The money raised during the event will go directly to cancer research.
The Relay for Life held in 2005 at the two locations raised over one million dollars and had a total of 270 teams, 2980 participants and 550 volunteers participate.
