On June 12th the annual Walk To Cure Diabetes took place to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The Walk is the JDRF’s premier fundraising event, and provides an excellent opportunity to create awareness about juvenile diabetes. This event raises thousands of dollars each year to fund research programs that aid in finding a cure! Each year more then 45, 000 people across Canada take part, including over 600 corporations. Walkers raise funds by asking friends and family to sponsor them in the event.
This year InterACTIVE Nutrition International Inc gave a generous donation to sponsor the Bank of Montreal and aid in finding a cure for this terrible illness that so many kids suffer from. In return InterACTIVE Nutrition received a “Gold Sneaker” that was displayed on walk day and will be proudly displayed in the InterACTIVE office, as a reminder of their generous support for diabetes research. This year the Bank of Montreal raised about $60,000, and in the past three years over $300,000 to help find a cure!
