The Canadian Cancer Society is holding its 9th annual “Relay for Life’ on June 8th, 2007 at the Nepean Sportsplex and June 15th at the Orleans Mellenium Park.. This is a 12 hour overnight relay that celebrates cancer survivors and pays tribute to the lives of loved ones who lost the battle. It’s a night of fun, friendship and fundraising to beat cancer.
InterACTIVE Nutrition International Inc., for the third year in a row is donating protein bars to help the participants make it through the night. The money raised during the event will go directly to cancer research.
The Relay for Life held in 2006 raised over one million dollars notwithstanding the cold, wet and windy night all endured and had a total of 1800 participants.
